Ultra Sonic Flow Meter

The TDS-100 ultrasonic flow meter is designed to measure the fluid velocity of liquid within a
closed conduit. The transducers are a non-contacting, clamp-on type, which will provide benefits
of non-fouling operation and easy installation.
The TDS-100 transit time flow meter utilizes two transducers that function as both ultrasonic
transmitters and receivers. The transducers are clamped on the outside of a closed pipe at a specific
distance from each other. The transducers can be mounted in V-method where the sound
transverses the pipe twice, or W-method where the sound transverses the pipe four times, or in
Z-method where the transducers are mounted on opposite sides of the pipe and the sound crosses
the pipe once. This selection of the mounting method depends on pipe and liquid characteristics.
The flow meter operates by alternately transmitting and receiving a frequency modulated burst of
sound energy between the two transducers and measuring the transit time that it takes for sound to
travel between the two transducers. The difference in the transit time measured is directly and
exactly related to the velocity of the liquid in the pipe.

Dry Ice is made of
LIQUID CO2 = 100% PURE CARBONIC ACID GAS = TOTALLY FREE OF WATER !
Liquid CO2 is injected into a production cylinder through a spray nozzle with a pressure of 14 – 17bar (200-290 psi), where it expands at atmospheric pressure into CO2 snow. This snow is then compacted by rod & piston action into solid CO2 = Dry Ice. Different types of Dry Ice machines produce various forms of Dry Ice. The common forms of dry ice are:

What does epoxy floor coating mean ?

 

The demands on today’s floor coatings are high. Functionality and efficiency often play a decisive role in the selection of flooring. Modern chemistry in the past 40 years developed a variety of high-grade epoxy resin in order to upgrade surfaces, to obtain colored effects, to protect steel and concrete against corrosion and to achieve general water tightness and thus a longer durability of surfaces.

Coating system means that different individual components are combined to achieve a coat;a high-grade, loadable and long-lived surface.Therefore epoxy floor coating always consist of a surface preparation, the priming, coating and sealing.
The coating thickness and the selection of the coating system thereby depends in each case on the application and the surface.

Epoxy floor coatings are very reliable systems due to their excellent qualities in order to meet today’s floor stringent demands.Epoxy resins can be adjusted according to the need for hardness and elasticity,and can be developed specifically for the building and construction industry.

For both usages one wants to select durable and at the same time decorative flooring.
If a building will be used for other purposes than originally intended it is necessary to start with the floor immediately. Will the flooring withstand the load of traffic as well as aggressive chemicals and at the same time provide a safe working environment and prevent damage to the structure? This should be the first question asked.

Epoxy floor coating provides a sanitary and skid-proof surface even when wet; it is dust-free and resistant to acids and therefore suitable for the industry. Epoxy floor coating adheres well to the surface such as concrete, (old or new, metal, tiles, wood, etc.) and has a high resistance to abrasion and chemicals such as alkalis, gasoline, greases, thawing salts and solvents. By adding colored silica, Epoxy floor becomes very attractive.

Epoxy Flooring (epoxy floor coating) can be applied over many different materials, including steel, concrete, and wood. However, concrete is the best surface for laying epoxy floors. Epoxy floor coating performance is directly affected by surface preparation. The integrity and the service life will be reduced significantly if the surface is improperly prepared. A proper surface preparation ensures epoxy coating adhesion to the substrate and prolongs the life of the epoxy coating system.

Basic steps for concrete surface preparation:

Examine the Surface - The surface should be checked for barriers such as existing sealers, curing materials, grease, oil, efflorescence, and dirt that must be removed.
Test the Concrete A “water drop” test can be used to determine if a surface is clean.Note: New concrete must be cured at a suitable temperature for at least 28 days.
Clean Uncoated Concrete Remove any chemicals, oil, and grease from the concrete first.
Previously Painted Surfaces If the paint is peeling or degrading in any way, it should be completely removed.
Repair Surface Defects Remove any loose concrete, and clean and fill holes, cracks and other surface defects with an approved method.
Shot blasting Shot blasting is principally used to roughen horizontal surfaces in the preparation for the application of sealers, coatings, or polymer overlays.
Diamond Grinding This method may be used on horizontal surfaces to remove deposits or coatings, and to reduce or smooth a surface profile.
Scarification Scarifying is the rotary action of the cutters (toothed washers). It impacts the surface at a right angle to fracture or pulverize the top surface of the concrete to expose a clean, fresh surface.
Acid etching is the process of applying an acid solution to a concrete surface, allowing the acid to react with and ‘etch’ the concrete.Acid etching of concrete is an acceptable, but less popular method for commercial concrete surface preparation than shot blasting.
